Two ways in
The two plugins are independent. If your keyword fields are already filled, go straight to the linking plugin. If they are empty, start with the keyword plugin. Neither requires the other.
Your SEO plugin already holds a focus keyword on most pages, and you want those keywords turned into links.
Most of your pages have an empty focus keyword field, and filling them by hand is not realistic.
How it works
Most WordPress sites have the same two gaps, and they compound. Missing focus keywords leave your SEO plugin with nothing to analyse. Weak internal linking leaves your deep pages unreachable. These plugins close both, in the order that matters.
Auto Focus Keyword scans your published content, finds the pages where the focus keyword field is empty, and populates them from the page title. One pass covers the whole site.
Automatic Internal Links reads those keywords, finds matching phrases in your content, and creates internal links using the keywords as anchors. Manual sync in Free, continuous in Pro.
What it fixes
A page with no internal link pointing to it is effectively invisible to a crawler. The pipeline creates links to every page that carries a focus keyword.
Content buried four or more clicks from the homepage struggles to rank. Internal links flatten the structure and shorten the path.
Search engines allocate limited crawling resources per site. A deliberate internal link network guides them to the pages that matter.
A page nobody links to is a page nobody finds. Internal links are the cheapest structural fix in SEO, and the one most sites never finish.

Compatibility
The plugin detects which SEO plugin is active and writes to that plugin's own storage. It does not add a competing keyword layer, and it does not ask you to change tools.
