Install both. Run them in order.

Keywords first, links second.

Both plugins install from the WordPress.org repository like any other plugin. No account, no licence key, no expiry. The order matters: the second plugin reads what the first one writes.

  • ✓2,000+ and 1,000+ active installs
  • ✓Tested up to WordPress 7.0.5
  • ✓Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress

1. Auto Focus Keyword for SEO

Fills the empty focus keyword fields. Install this one first.

  • Finds every published page with no focus keyword
  • Writes the page title into your SEO plugin's field
  • Never overwrites a keyword you set by hand
  • Version 1.0.10, tested up to WordPress 7.0.5

2. Automatic Internal Links for SEO

Turns those keywords into internal links. Install this one second.

  • Reads the focus keywords across your site
  • Creates internal links using the keywords as anchors
  • Caps links per page, three by default
  • Version 2.0.10, tested up to WordPress 7.0.5

The right order

Four steps, once.

  1. Install Auto Focus Keyword and run FETCH. It reports how many published pages have no focus keyword, and writes nothing until you ask it to.
  2. Review the waiting list, then SYNC. Remove anything that should keep a hand-picked keyword, then let it populate the rest. Keep the page open while it runs.
  3. Install Automatic Internal Links and run a first manual SYNC. Check the activity log, then look at a few real pages on your live theme.
  4. Upgrade only if a limit gets in your way. WooCommerce products, custom post types and continuous sync are the Pro reasons. Nothing else is gated.
