Changelog, Auto Focus Keyword for SEO
Release notes for the plugin that fills the focus keyword field. This page records what changed and why it matters in practice; the complete version-by-version history lives on WordPress.org.
Latest release
1.0.11
- Hardens the bundled Freemius SDK after a WordPress.org security review: API certificate verification is on by default, the silent fallback to plain HTTP is removed, and clone resolution now requires an explicit capability check.
Earlier releases that matter here
- 1.0.10 updates the bundled Freemius SDK from 2.13.1 to 2.13.4, adds contextual Agent Control examples, and refreshes the ten shipped locale catalogues.
- 1.0.9 anchors all PHP includes to the plugin directory, preventing
include_pathconflicts with other plugins. - 1.0.8 adds SEOPress and All in One SEO focus keyword support, and hardens metabox saves.
That 1.0.8 release is what took the plugin from two supported SEO sources to four. If you run SEOPress or All in One SEO, it is the release that introduced support.
Checking your version
The installed version is shown on the WordPress Plugins screen, next to the plugin name. The current release is also listed on the download page.
The rule that has not changed
Across every release, the plugin writes a focus keyword only where the field is empty. It does not overwrite a value you or a colleague set by hand, and no release has changed that. It is the reason running a sync on an established site is safe.
